She's our sweet, sweet granddog, and from time to time (now that we live close by) we get the joy of hanging with Ellie when her rightful parents have late workouts, after-work meetings or various and sundry other things that make a-day-at-home-alone too long for a precious pup. Lucky for me Ellie's favorite spot is on the floor in my studio (or under my desk) where we burn candles and listen to Spotify and generally cheer each other on as we make our way through the latest round of novel edits. It's a daunting task that benefits greatly from some sweet cheering on, and I'm happy to report Ellie's general satisfaction with almost every decision I make has greatly lifted my somewhat daunted (and winter-soaked) literary spirits. And so let's go, girl. Onward!

I agree with Southern Living. "“Compelling . . . at once a true-crime thriller, courtroom drama, and miniature biography of Harper Lee. If To Kill a Mockingbird was one of your favorite books growing up, you should add Furious Hours to your reading list today.”
