A LOVELY THING about writing a blog that has been around a good long time is that you can feel something/need something/wonder about something, then search your own archives and usually find a few words you've written (or found) on the matter published right there.

It's what happened to me this afternoon, when I was not looking for MERCY but came upon a dose of MERCY that served as such a salve I thought it worth passing along.
