When I clicked on this old post from December 26, 2017, my heart could feel the old dread of my sweet Eliza leaving, a single girl heading back from Christmas break to her "home" in Atlanta. Six years have passed and today she is most happily married and living less than a mile from me. Which means I rejoice in the gifts of both her happy marriage and our proximity! I also rejoice in Winn Collier's reminder about Christmastide and the 12 days of joy still to come.
