The Daily Grace
Hey there, friend,

Early today I was doing some work on my email subscriber list, thinking how wonderful it is to have a whole new crop of friends, brought to me—and The Daily Grace blog—via my book tour for That Which Binds Us and through the many fabulous book clubs I've had the privilege to visit this summer. I then made myself a promise to: 1) post more regularly; 2) consistently send my monthly newsletter, Grace Notes; 3) send email notes (like this one) more often. (In these, I share something short and of significance or I simply offer a link to something I may have written years before.)

We're about to make that turn to September, is the thought I had then, from summer to fall. To autumn, beautiful autumn, with its soft, warm colors, with its cozy sights and smells. Let's see what I've had to say about that.

And so I searched my archives and discovered the last time I wrote a post in September was 2020. That surprised me, but I clicked on the link to find it was the perfect piece to share right now—my status having changed from "writer" to "author"; a bit about the significance of feathers in my life (and on my blog); a reminder that all through the writing of my novel, although she had already passed on, my mom was always there.

All my best to you on this pretty, end-of-summer day as together, we make our way toward soft, stunning September.

Feathers All Around

It has been a long time since I've experienced such a surround of feathers. I know what they mean, and I'm grateful they've come.
