Distance is a gift, sometimes.
Distance is a curse, most often.
I am thinking of my sweet friend, Kat, who has had more than her share of life to carry these last few days. I want to be there now to bring her coffee and hold her hands and join her prayers. I want to wrap her up tight and offer perspective and lighten the moment.
I want to make it all alright.
There is grace, I am sure of it. I know she can feel the love of her family, and the wrap-around embrace of friends, near and far. I know for sure.
(And still I fret.)
Sending love. Sending prayers. Sending Jivan’s feather to Kat, his wife, who loves him.
