Life is such a twisted road. Let’s just stick our heads out the window and yell yipeeee around those sharp curves.
Thus ended an email that came into my life last night, arriving in the quiet hours just before I turned out the light. It was unexpected, this message sent in response to my post on loss and gratitude, from a friend who has experienced both with an intensity I cannot fathom. I admire him beyond measure.
Today I opened my eyes at first light, and his words greeted me again. They hung there, in the air around me, all day long—a lesson not content with mere acknowledgement—these suckers were determined to land, to take root.
It’s the perfect beginning for this blog, I now believe. Thirty days with windows rolled down, faces to the wind, hearts wide open to wildly embrace the blessings that are surely to come, just when we need them the most.
What grace is ahead for you?
30 Days of Grace: Day One
I think homely little homemade journals are the very best. Wishing you loads of blessings, every single day.
Thanks to you, dear person, I tossed a homely little homemade gratitude journal in my purse today to scribble in during spare moments. What a huge difference it made, being mindful of all the grace flowing through the daily round.
