What a wonderful lesson to come along just as I make my way to the edge of my 53rd year. But do answer me this. How have I made it this far without knowing James?

Count it all joy, my brethren, when you meet various trials,  for you know that the testing of your faith produces steadfastness.  And let steadfastness have its full effect, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing.

James 1:2-4

Cathy, Have you read 1000 Gifts by Ann Voskamp? Together with James, she has absolutely impacted the way I view even the most mundane parts of my day. Blessings come in all forms! (And your blog — and YOU — are blessings in my life.)
