the paschal moon

in celebration

Have you ever wondered why the date for Easter moves around each year? It’s because of tonight’s paschal moon, the first full moon following the spring equinox. Easter is always the first Sunday after the paschal full moon.

(How have I never known this? Thank you, Donna.)

My husband was just asking me about this, and all I knew was it had to do with the moon’s cycles. Thank you for clarifying!!! (And wasn’t the moon spectacular at its rising last night? Can’t wait for tonight’s!)

    Happy, Blessed Easter, Cathy!!!
