I may well crown Memorial Day my favorite of holidays. It’s a revelation that came to me early this morning when the sun first peeked through the french doors and nudged me awake.
Come play, it said, for this is the magic moment when all of summer stretches out before us.
And so we did.

It’s my hope this little spot on the internet will be for you a place of quiet and reflection, a source for inspiration, and a reminder there’s beauty all around—we simply need to keep our hearts open to see it. Memorial Day was Happy for me too. My Mocking Bird is back and welcoming Summer Joyously with many melodies including whip-poor-will. Amazing.

Birds are such happy creatures. You can’t help but smile (and relax a little?) when watching them.
Who are those sweet little guys with the white spritzy feathers on top?
I think they’re sweet sparrow babies. Aren’t they adorable? (If I’m wrong, someone correct me!)
