Way back in 2011, way way back when the world was normal and social distancing wasn’t a thing and when we sat here in the days before Thanksgiving with the holiday season spreading before us like one long glittering beautiful perfect party, I launched a series on The Daily Grace called 30 Days of Joy. It had a simple premise and a simple goal: to pull every ounce of joy from the big and small moments of a Christmas season that always, always goes by too fast.
Friends, I feel confident in suggesting there is not a human among us who couldn’t use a little spotlight on joy right now.
So let’s do it, I say. Thirty days, more or less consecutive—depending, it’s COVID after all and all rules shall be loose—thirty days of celebrating the JOY of this most joy-filled season, even on the days we have to look hard to find it.
(Especially on the days we have to find it.)
Do say you will come along!
